Do you love to be creative? Are you interested in learning innovative digital media tools? Do you have an interest in graphic design, photography or audio/video/music production? Digital Media & Design provides the perfect balance of exploring creativity and learning technical skills in the areas of digital media and design.
Our Media courses emphasize project-based, hands-on training with students focusing on client production and portfolio development. This dynamic course will offer students real-world application of their skills by producing media for Bev Facey School, community, staff and special projects.
Students will have the opportunity to showcase their work in a variety of formats including:
• multimedia & web design
• photography & digital imaging
• graphic design & digital art
• audio & music production
• video production & visual effects
• digital signage & social media
Students will use Canon SLR cameras and professional lenses to develop their photography skills and HD video cameras for video production. Students will have access to Industry Standard Software in both PC and Mac platforms including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, Logic Studio, GarageBand and online media tools. Upon completion of Advanced Media & Design 30, students may choose to pursue studies and careers as a graphic designer, video producer, web designer, production artist, photographer, photo illustrator, sound/audio engineer, video editor, illustrator and more.
